Report your missing pet

  1. Register your pet's details with Pet Database so that vets/wardens/rescues have access to the correct information.
  2. Create a missing pet report.
  3. If you haven't already logged your pet's details with DogLost, do that as soon as possible, and we'll liaise with them to get your pet home.
  4. We'll automatically send 'Safety Pings' to you whenever your pet's microchip details are looked for.
  5. We'll notify you when a pet professional logs on to access your contact details.
  6. Share your missing pet report on social media to help raise awareness and bring your pet home.

What we need you to do next

Heart
Bringing your pet home is a team effort. While our Lost Pet Team is working away, these are the things you can do.
  1. Check areas your pet is familiar with, including nearby sheds and garages.
  2. Retrace all your normal walks and check your old address if you've recently moved.
  3. If you suspect your pet has been stolen, report it to the police.
  4. Spread the word.
    • Use a clear, well-lit photo of your pet for your missing pet report and share it on social media. If you know anyone with a large following, make sure you tag them too.
    • Print out missing posters and add your pet's details - put them up in local shops, vets and pubs in the area where your pet went missing and through the doors of neighbouring streets.
  5. Let people know whether your pet can be approached and where they went missing.
  6. Most importantly, ensure you have added your details on DogLost to enlist their help too.
