Some dogs demand your attention. Treacle doesn't. He simply sits beside you, fixes those extraordinary amber eyes on yours, and somehow makes the world feel a little quieter Treacle is a 5-year-old, extra large Hound/Shepherd mix currently living in a shelter in Greece. His story began on the streets of Nafpaktos, where he appeared one day near a group of holiday villas. Local residents fed him and looked out for him, but Treacle wandered further into town, crossing busy roads and putting himself in constant danger. When some people began chasing him away from the places where he found food, local volunteers stepped in and brought him to safety. He has been waiting for a home ever since. Treacle is wonderfully gentle and gets along beautifully with other dogs. During his time on the streets he lived alongside cats without issue, and he has never shown any desire for conflict. his After everything he has experienced, Treacle remains kind, trusting and full of quiet dignity. He isn't the dog who pushes to the front for attention. He's the dog you suddenly realise has been beside you all along.
